Description

Pyrite is composed of iron sulphide and has a golden or bronze colour. Because of its resemblance to gold, it is also known as "fool's gold" and as a matter of fact in the past it was often confused with it; it is often used in jewellery as a decorative element. Its crystalline structure can vary, but is commonly cubic or octahedral. Pyrite is found in many parts of the world, such as Europe, Asia, North and South America. It is a very powerful and versatile stone that has been used for spiritual and healing purposes for thousands of years. It is often used in crystal therapy thanks to its healing and protective properties.
