Description

Caramel Abalone is a type of mother of pearl, characterised by a warm and deep caramel colour with blue, green and purple shades. This gemstone is composed mainly of conchiolin and aragonite, which combine to create the iridescent effect typical of mother of pearl. Caramel abalone symbolises inner strength, protection and perseverance.

It is found in various parts of the world, for example in the Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean. Thanks to its beauty and iridescent lustre, it is highly valued in the jewellery and decoration industry. The caramel abalone with a "brick" structure differs from the one with a "random" structure, by the regular arrangement of the minerals inside the mother of pearl. This gives the caramel abalone a clean, geometric look, with a flat, even surface that allows the light to reflect iridescently and evenly.
