Bronze Mother Of Pearl is a type of mother of pearl with tones ranging from dark brown to deep bronze, often with orange or golden shades. As all other types of mother of pearl, bronze mother of pearl is composed mainly of conchiolin and aragonite crystal, evenly and neatly arranged to create a bright, iridescent surface. It forms inside the shell of some mollusks, such as Ostrea Edulis, which live in the Mediterranean sea and in the Atlantic Ocean. As the mollusk grows, mother of pearl settles on the inner surface of the shell, forming dark brown or deep bronze layers . The bronze mother of pearl with a "brick" structure differs from the one with a "random" structure, by the regular arrangement of the minerals inside the mother of pearl. This gives the bronze mother of pearl a clean, geometric look, with a flat, even surface that allows the light to reflect iridescently and evenly.
