Birds Eye Rhyolite
Description
Bird's Eye Rhyolite is a volcanic igneous rock, that forms when magma quickly solidifies on the earth's surface. This rock has a grey or brown colour, with brown or reddish small spheres or circles that resemble the bird's eyes. These circles are caused by the presence of minerals like hematite or clay, and they originate from alteration and deposit precesses that take place during rock formation. This stone is highly valued in crystal therapy and spiritual disciplines because it helps to promote concentration, creativity and communication. It is often used for jewels and decorative objects, thanks to its beauty and its specific texture. Bird's eye rhyolite is quite hard and durable. Its hardness grade is 6-7 on the Mohs scale, and it consists mainly of silicate of aluminium, potassium and sodium. It finds in many parts of the world, for example Mexico, the USA and Australia.Details
